We signed papers on Friday and we get the keys tomorrow!!!!
It was so weird to leave the title company Friday with nothing to show for our having signed our lives away. Because of the housing crash, there are so many strict regulations on lenders now. So now they require review of the closing docs after we sign them and then we get keys when the funds have been wired and the property recorded with the county.
I have been on the phone all morning getting utilities, satellite and internet transferred and ordering our moving truck.
Craziness.
We are soooo excited!!!!!!!!
We went to our new ward yesterday. The building was built in 1954. It kinda reminds me of my grandmother's building in Salt Lake, with a second story and basement. There are about 100 nursery-aged kids, which makes 4 nurseries. 3 Sunbeam classes. 2 CTR 4 classes. Emma may be the only one in Achievement Day girls. Young Men have about 7 boys, but only 3 active. The mean age of the kids is 5. A handful of elderly people. We might as well be in a BYU ward. It's crazy! But cool! There is a sister that will be having twin girls --due July 4th. And they live in our subdivision. I am super stoked. She has two boys, so needs stuff for girls. Me to the rescue.

Wohooo! That is so exciting with your new house! Good luck with the move. I do hope you'll like your new ward. It does sound like a BYU ward. At least there are lots of people for you to socialize with who probably are in similar situations to you!
That is awesome! I hear you on the signing and having to wait a few days for it to be official. We had to do the same thing. Good luck with the move.
Nora - Welcome to the ward!!!!!! So excited to have you here with us. I am glad you left me a message so we could get to know each other a bit better through blogging - and of course in person.
Josh told me about the mess up with no help moving in. UGH! He was the EQ Pres before being put in the Bishopric about 3 months ago. I understand the whole moving thing and felt so bad for your family. Hopefully it all got worked out.
My daughter just turned 8 so she is in Activity Day with Emma. There is one other active girl that also goes and a few that go here and there.
PS. you have the same floor plan we do - we are just in a different neighborhood.
Congrats to you guys. Hope you love your new home. That is very exciting. It looks huge. I am sure you'll enjoy all the room. Take care.
