The older girls started at a new school yesterday. After *E* got in a fight on the bus with a girl who bullied her since school began, we took them off the bus and started picking them up. Things improved a bit but we just couldn't stand the culture shock of being in a Title I school and we felt like a minority. They were the minority. I don't appreciate my tax dollars going to children of illegal parents learning english.

So back to open enrollment we go and the life of dropping off and picking up again. It's worth it for them to be in a good school whose teachers enjoy teaching. Not that their teachers at the last school didn't; in fact, that is why we took so long switching them over. Ther teachers were great--I think *A*'s teacher almost cried and jokingly threatened to withhold her grades so she wouldn't be able to leave.
But first impressions can tell you alot (unfortunately) and there was a WORLD of difference between the first impressions of each school. The LDS presence is wonderful. We even have kids in our Primay class that go there.
So we are excited to see what the rest of the school year brings.
