This is the best thing Santa could have E.V.E.R. gotten the girls.
After we did our traditional reading of the Christmas story from Luke, we opened gifts. Just our little family upstairs with the fake tree and colored lights. We have asked Santa to wrap his gifts for the past two years so the girls would not be distracted while we read from the scriptures. It has worked out very well and brings the true spirit of Christmas. We are also keeping with our "3 gift" tradition.
I guess we only got a pic of the 9 ft. monstosity-of-a-real-tree-that-we-put-downstairs on Christmas Eve with all of the gifts in front of it. By Christmas that thing was SOO dried out the forest fires from 2 yrs ago could have ignited it.
our traditonal (boy, I use that word a lot) Christmas Eve bash with Bro. Mo.'s side of the family.
Hopefully next year (if we host) we will have more room with the huge entertainment center gone and a flat screen on the wall above the piano. Then the couch that Dad (Skip) and Uncle Wayne are on would replace the entertainment center and the LR would be more open.
